The Marine Association of the BVI is the voice of the Marine and Yachting industry in the British Virgin Islands. With over over 60 members employing over 2,500 individuals, we represent the interests of the industry including charter companies, visiting yachtspeople, boatyards, marinas, suppliers, contractors, hospitality services, tour operators, and other supporting industries. The Marine Association is the liaison between the Government of the Virgin Islands and the Marine Industry. It is a non-profit organization established in 1996.

Nov 2023: General Meeting Key Takeaways 
  • Guest speakers from The Ministry of Environment spoke along with Dr. Pague who is a consultant regarding water quality and testing sites in the BVI. If you see any areas that you have any concerns with please reach out to Ms. Atoya George at atgeorge@gov.vg. They will go out and test areas upon request in addition to the areas they normally test such as Cane Garden Bay, Josiahs, Long Bay East, The Baths and a few other sites.

  • The AGM is coming up in February. If you are interested in joining the MABVI board of directors please let Tom Merrigan know.
  • CRLV was discussed and another letter to the Premier has been sent out.-The next MPT cohort from HLSCC is still looking for a few placements so if you'd like to have an apprentice with your company, please reach out to Matt Holt.
  • Membership fees will not be increased this year. This is due to suggestions about adding additional value to membership.
